The site, the StratoSort Core source code, and the published releases are operated and licensed by Kennedy Applied Sciences, Inc. References to "we", "us", and "our" mean Kennedy Applied Sciences, Inc.

2. Acceptable use of the website

You agree to use stratosort.com lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt to access non-public areas, or scrape it in a way that imposes an unreasonable load. The site is provided for your information and is not a binding offer of sale.

3. Public source and releases

The StratoSort Core source code and the installers we publish on GitHub Releases are licensed under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. Under that license, personal use and other noncommercial use are free of charge, including running, copying, modifying, and redistributing the software on the terms the license sets out. The license does not permit commercial use. Nothing on this site widens or narrows that license; if these terms and the license text differ in how they apply to the software, the license text governs.

Releases and source code are provided "as is" and without warranty (see section 8). Bug reports and pull requests are welcome and are accepted on the terms in the repository's CONTRIBUTING file.

4. Commercial license

Using StratoSort Core for a company's business, in a paid product or service, or for any other purpose that is not a permitted noncommercial purpose under the PolyForm Noncommercial License requires a separate paid commercial license from Kennedy Applied Sciences, Inc. Commercial licenses are delivered as signed keys that the application verifies on your device, and they are governed by the written agreement we provide at purchase. Pricing is quoted on request; email contact@kennedyappliedsciences.com. Declaring personal use inside the application is not a substitute for a commercial license. Features and availability described on this site are subject to change before purchase.

5. Intellectual property

"StratoSort", the StratoSort logo, and all original content on this site are owned by Kennedy Applied Sciences, Inc. or its licensors. You may quote short excerpts with attribution; broader use requires written permission.

StratoSort Core is source-available, not open source as the Open Source Initiative defines that term: the PolyForm Noncommercial License grants broad rights for noncommercial use but reserves commercial use to us and our commercial licensees. Third-party components bundled with the application or used by the source code are licensed under their own terms; the application ships a complete list, and the repository carries the corresponding notices.

6. Third-party links

Where the site links to third-party resources (for example, citations to research and reports), those links are provided for convenience. We do not endorse or take responsibility for the content of third-party sites.

7. Compliance claims

Statements on this site about regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, FERPA, CJIS, ITAR, GDPR, SOC 2, etc.) describe properties that local-first architecture can support. Compliance outcomes depend on your deployment, configuration, policies, and legal obligations. Nothing on this site is legal advice. You are responsible for validating any compliance claims against your environment before relying on the product for regulated workflows.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website, the source code, and any public release are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kennedy Applied Sciences, Inc. and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from your use of this site, the source code, or any public release.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after we post the updated version constitutes acceptance of the change.

The full text of the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0 is published by the PolyForm Project at polyformproject.org/licenses/noncommercial/1.0.0 and is included as the LICENSE file in the StratoSort Core repository. That text, not this summary, defines what the license permits.
